Based in Washington, DC, USA, Ron Taylor is a project manager, lecturer, trainer, author, consultant, and the principal and founder of the Ron Taylor Group. Mr. Taylor has over 25 years of experience in managing projects. He was previously at the U.S. Census Bureau in Washington where he managed several multimillion dollar projects and led the Bureau's Project Management Board of Directors. Ron began his career as a member of the faculty of the University of Kentucky, where he was nominated Teacher of the Year.
Ron is the Immediate Past President of the Washington D.C. Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). The PMI Washington DC Chapter (PMI-WDC) is the largest PMI Chapter in the world with over 8,500 members. During Ron’s Presidency, the Chapter was named 2007 PMI Chapter of the Year and Ron was named 2008 PMI Chapter Leader of the Year. Ron has served as a member of the faculty of PMI’s College of Performance Management and a member of PMI's Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3) project team. He has been a featured speaker at several project management conferences and symposia.
