According to a news release, the Community Blood Center, an affiliate of the NCH Healthcare System, is celebrating January being National Volunteer Blood Donor Month by partnering with local businesses who are offering fun venues, great donor gifts and raffle prizes for participating blood donors. The Community Blood Center’s goal is to encourage more people to give blood and make lifesaving a habit. Below is a list of blood drive locations and special activities, but donors can visit givebloodcbc.org for details and complete lists of donor gifts and raffle prizes per location:
Thurs. Jan. 15: 10 AM – 2 PM: H&R Block in Tarpon Springs Plaza: (Immokalee Rd, just east of I75)
Successful donors will receive special giveaways from:
H&R Block, Free SportsClips hair cut, and a free 24oz Lowfat Tropical Smoothie Café.
Raffle Prizes: 3- $20 Gift Cards—Super Target Naples, free haircut, blow dry & Style—Hair Cuttery, Beach Bag Gift Tote from Snyderman’s Shoes, and Special Gifts from World Market and Panera Bread.
Fri. Jan. 16: 1-6 PM Carvel in Marquesa Plaza Corner of Pine Ridge and Livingston Roads:
Successful donors will receive: FREE Pint of Carvel Ice Cream, Free hair cut from Sports clips, a lifetime Membership to My Gym Childrens Fitness Center and many more items from Marquesa Plaza businesses.
All Donors Will Be Entered Into Drawing For: 4 Lucky Donors Will Win A Free Lil’ Love Cake From Carvel
Sat. Jan 17: 9 AM – 1 PM Security Self Storage is holding blood drives at 2 of its locations listed below:
Events at both locations are being co-sponsored by InTroubleZone Productions and John Marazzi Nissan. All successful donors on Jan. 17 will receive multiple donor gifts offered by local business for free and discounted items and will be automatically entered into a drawing for over 30 prizes at each location from local hair, nail & beauty salons, restaurants, hotels, Naples Zoo, Publix, Super Target, Home Service companies and more.

The Community Blood Center, headquartered in Naples, is a hospital based, not for profit blood center that has served the community for nearly 60 years.
