WASHINGTON, DC: Vendors hawking Obama T-shirts can be found on every DC street corner this weekend, but for those looking for something a bit more fabulous, Chas. Schwartz & Son jewelers, Ginger Boutique and Imagine Fashion Apothecary are featuring souvenirs to celebrate Washington’s most stylish weekend in decades.

Washington’s oldest and most storied jeweler, Charles Schwartz & Son (www.chasschwartz.com), has commissioned an inaugural line featuring White House, Capitol and the Washington Monument charms in gold and white gold.  Both the White House and Capitol charms are available in large and smaller sizes; the Washington Monument is available in a 1” height.  Prices range from $375 for the Washington Monument to $1056 for the large white gold White House charm.  Charles Schwartz & Son, which was founded in 1888, has locations downtown at the Willard Hotel and in Upper North West (Friendship Heights) in Mazza Gallerie.

Ginger Boutique (www.gingerstyle.com) in Bethesda Row is featuring an array of luxury Washington-themed products in a wide range of price points.  From jewelry designer Suzanne Somersall, Ginger is featuring her Sakura collection of cherry blossom-themed earrings, necklaces and rings.  The  handcrafted pieces range in price from $85 for her silver drop cherry blossom earrings to over $3,000 for her pieces crafted from pave diamonds set in gold.  In addition, Ginger is featuring renowned stationer R. Nichols’ Washington-themed notecards, featuring his iconic woman at the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial.

Gaithersburg style hub Imagine Fashion Apothecary (www.shopimaginefashion.com) is featuring local designer Evelyn Brooks, whose has developed a line featuring the Obama logo on bracelets, earrings and necklaces.  Priced from $15-$49, the pieces offer a fabulous and affordable way to celebrate the historic occasion.
