t is true! Junior denim powerhouse Celebrity Pink Jeans will debut a junior plus-size line at the upcoming WWD Magic Tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV. The twice yearly Magic apparel tradeshow, the largest of its kind in the United States, is set to begin February 17th and run through the 19th 2009.
After much prodding from many of its retail partners, supported by extensive research and development, Celebrity Pink Jeans will launch a junior plus line, with the first delivery set for back-to-school. The new line targets young women sizes 14+ and offers them a number of stylish looks. Ranging from a hip skinny fit to a trendy super destroyed boyfriend jean, to a chic cuffed-trouser pant. Like its junior products, the junior plus collection will be offered in a broad array of color palettes, including sherbets and neon denim.
Celebrity Pink’s junior plus line will be supported by an extensive advertising and promotional campaign across several platforms, including those catering to various ethnic groups.
The junior plus category is one of the most under-served markets in the U.S. fashion industry. With the overall plus-size market expected to grow at about 10% per year, Celebrity Pink is well positioned to leverage its reputation for making high quality, trendy and affordable clothing for teens in the junior market by now doing the same for the plus teen girls.
