Beaverton, Oregon --- Credit union members who bank on-line are still at risk of having their identities stolen even though most credit unions provide secure connections for their members.
By some estimates as many as 80% of all computers are infected by keyloggers that are not detected by any anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewalls or filters. Keyloggers record the keystrokes and, when it sees account numbers, logins and passwords, it transmits them to identity thieves. “First it was viruses, then spy-ware, and now key logging is becoming the most dangerous threat because up to 80% of the key loggers are missed by anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewalls, filters etc.,” said Brenda J. Eaden, CEO of IDTELi.
None of the antivirus companies or providers offers this technology or has any type of identity theft protection at the keyboard level. The GuardedID4CreditUnions©
