We rely on our mobile device more and more today and it’s frustrating when they stop working. But can we blame the technology if we don’t look after it? With mobile devices becoming more intelligent and powerful there is simply more things to go wrong.
You may take your car to the garage each year to be serviced, imagine doing something similar with your mobile, but you are doing the servicing and without the big bills!
It doesn’t take long to ensure your device remains in tip top condition. http://www.clove.co.uk/
A few simple steps are detailed below. You need not necessarily follow the time periods set but it may help!
• When you have finished for the day, close all running programmes by going Start>Settings>System>Task Manager and select the tasks to end.(daily)
• Connect to a PC and synchronise your calendar, contacts tasks and documents (daily, weekly, monthly, annually)
• Run a backup using some excellent backup tools such as SPB backup. These enable an almost one touch east back up solution and are a life saver should your device fail. Remember to store the backup somewhere safe.(weekly, monthly, annually) http://www.mobihand.com/
• Clear out any unwanted emails, text messages etc (Although small they can clog up memory)(weekly, monthly, annually)
• Perform a soft reset. A bit like re-booting our PC it can do wonders for the device. (Consult your user manual for directions on how to do this) (weekly, monthly)
• Remove any un-needed files and multimedia such as music which could be taking up some space.(monthly, annually)
• Perform a CLEAN RESET. (THIS WILL RETURN THE DEVICE TO FACTORY SETTINGS). Using the backup you have just taken once complete, all your data can be easily restored with little fuss! (annually)
