Stephen Tschiderer is a young marine who was stationed in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was serving as a medic when his life almost came to an end. Tschiderer was shot directly over his heart by a sniper on a training mission from only 500 feet away. If it was not for the Interceptor body armor jacket designed by David H. Brooks and DHB Industries this young man would not be alive today to tell his story of bravery to America. Stephen Tschiderer was on a scheduled patrol when he was shot over the heart by a sniper and his trainee from only 500 feet away. The shot sent Tschiderer down to the ground but he managed to bring himself up to get to safety. It wasn’t till he was out of enemy sight that he realized that he had been shot above the heart. The Interceptor body armor jacket saved this young man’s life and has given him the courage to continue on his mission to protect the freedom of our country and the freedom of others.
After being hit by the sniper, Tschiderer returned to the field and continued to pursue the enemy soldier. After capturing this soldier Tschiderer then saved the man who tried to kill him by bandaging his wounds and caring for his injuries. This young man is the American Dream, he has gone above and beyond the call of duty to save the life of a man who tried to end his own. If it was not for the bravery of this soldier, the life of the enemy may have ended. Thank you David H. Brooks for designing the Interceptor and saving thousands of our soldiers fighting for our freedom.
