Portland, OR: The Oregonian, Willamette Week, Portland Mercury and even the Portland Tribune hinted at the possible demise of Tony Starlight’s Supperclub & Lounge two years ago because of the dire fates of the businesses previously located at 3728 NE Sandy Boulevard. Tony Starlight proves them wrong and hosts a curse-free week of merriment starting January 13 with the Vintage Fashion Show by AlexSandra’s Vintage Emporium.
“When I first opened the club in 2007, I was warned this location was not viable and we wouldn’t make it two years. Yet we managed to profit our first year and continued to grow our business every month our second year,” said Tony Starlight, “This week we celebrate the vibrancy of our community in showing its support for our club.”
Some of the more popular acts in Portland that perform regularly at Tony Starlight’s Supperclub & Lounge will be celebrating the second anniversary. These include the very popular jazz artists King Louie and Baby James, and the Linda Lee Michelet Big Band with her Peggy Lee tribute program. Tony Starlight will close out the anniversary celebration with the crowd-pleasing AM Gold and Tony Starlight Shows.
Starlight said, “The finale for our second anniversary will be a special Tony Starlight Show on Saturday night. A collection of all my favorite songs, comedy bits and routines from the last two years and will be crazy with guest stars. Last year we had so much talent on the stage it nearly collapsed.”
Tony Starlight’s Supperclub & Lounge is a very popular destination at the gateway to Portland’s historic Hollywood district. Dinner reservations are highly recommended to ensure priority seating.
