Miss Pre Teen & Miss Teen Kentucky-World Ambassadors
Miss Preteen Kentucky-World is the newest title added to the Miss Teen World family. Miss Preteen Kentucky-World will be held in Somerset Kentucky at the Center For Rural Development, right along with Miss Teen Kentucky-World and Miss Kentucky US International pageants. The Preteen pageant division for Kentucky will be held in a non-conventional format. Usually preteen pageants are held completely separate from Teen and Miss pageants, however, in this case, the preteen division will move, in segments, right along with the Teen Kentucky pageant division and the Miss pageant division. In this unconventional year, families will only need to pay one fee to sit through all three pageants as opposed to paying to get into the preteen pageant and then paying to get into the teen and miss pageants. As the older divisions prepare to move into the next area of competition, the preteens will be on stage, strutting their "stuff".
The Pre Teen division was added as a way for younger girls to get involved in the Miss Teen World system and to find mentors as they learn to be a part of the "show". All preteen contestants will be wearing banners on-stage, just like the Teen and Miss contestants. Lisa Clark, the Executive Director of Miss Teen Kentucky-World, feels that if a preteen is interested in being involved in pageants and building a portfolio for a possible modeling and/or acting career, it is important to get started at a young age. "The earlier a girl starts, the more likely she is to understand, learn and become comfortable on the stage and with the competitions"
The winner of the Miss Preteen Kentucky-World pageant will win a prize package valued at over $3,000, including travel money for her optional trip to Houston Texas, luggage, a dental visit to the Miss Teen World dental sponsor, an official Miss Preteen Kentucky-World sash and banner, and a custom designed, Clark Justice Custom Classical evening gown for appearances. Miss Preteen Kentucky does not have a national pageant. She will, however, keep in touch with and participate in as many activities as possible, right along with Miss Teen Kentucky-World and Miss Kentucky US International!
