Most Severe Headaches Are Not Migraine

Most headache experts agree that the majority of head pain is caused by muscle contraction not by migraine but are treated as such, unsuccessfully.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan 13, 2009 -
Dr A. Richard Goldman, Director of the Head and Neck Pain Center in Chicago and author of the book TMJ Syndrome: The Overlooked Diagnosis, will lecture at the Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, IL 60062 on Tuesday January 20, 2009 at 7pm,

In the book Dr. Goldman explains that muscle contraction pain often mimics migraine severity. Most muscle contraction headaches are the body’s response to a gearing problem between the teeth and the jaw hinge, a problem named TMJ Syndrome. Yet, virtually all severe headaches, without easily identifiable causes, are mistakenly diagnosed as migraine, and many times unsuccessfully treated. A confused diagnosis yields poor treatment results. Therefore, many sufferers are condemned to a life of pain, lost hope, depression and the psychological effects of chronic pain on an unsuccessful quest for a resolution.

Dr. Goldman, has found TMJ problems to be routinely, successfully addressed with a non-surgical and drug free approach.  This success is independent of length of suffering or number of failed treatments. With over 40 years practice Dr. Goldman is a firm believer that people in pain should not have to suffer needlessly.

A dynamic presenter and illustrator Dr. Goldman has appeared in numerous media outlets to discuss his book that has since become a classic.  He has incredible knowledge in the study of TMJ and is especially gifted in providing clarity, resources, and options for effective treatment.   He will lecture at the Northbrook Public Library on Tuesday January 20, 2009 at 7pm.
