Change in the value of the Pound is good for North East exporters

Managing Director Michael Mitten said: "From an export point of view it opens the door to customers where we have been struggling for no other reason other than the pound has been too strong. We've been working tirelessly but we just haven't been competitive.

The business has won an addition £200,000 of work this year - something Michael puts down to the weakening pound.

"Overall, I see it as a great opportunity. We are having a big push in terms of exports in first half of 2009."
