Follow on Google News | Linux Users' Group of Davis celebrates its 10 year anniversaryThe Linux Users' Group of Davis, a non-profit computer club for Sacramento-area open source enthusiasts, celebrates its 10th year on January 19th. Guest speaker Allison Randal discusses "Parrot".
By: Linux Users' Group of Davis LUGOD, founded by Davis community members and UC Davis students and staff in January 1999, has been an active part of the community since its inception. The group holds monthly meetings with both technical and non-technical presentations from guest speakers, "Installfest" The club's 10th anniversary meeting will take place at the Davis Branch of the Yolo County Library on Monday, January 19th at 7pm. The event will be free and open to the public. To celebrate, free pizza and cake will be served, there will be numerous give-aways and raffle prizes, sponsored by Google Inc., O'Reilly Media and LUGOD's own members. The library is located at 315 East 14th Street in Davis.
