Jan. 13, 2009 - PRLog -- Pete is a little boy who thinks he’s nothing special.

When he looks in the mirror every morning he sees a misfit—his ears are too big and his nose is full of freckles!  Other kids tease him and Pete spends most of his time alone.

One night a strange-looking, little angel named T.J. pays him a visit.  T.J. isn’t a typical angel; T.J. loves herself exactly the way she is and helps Pete to focus on what’s so right about him.  Pete does and the next day as he goes to school, he has a skip in his step and the kids that tease him don’t matter so much.  Pete realizes that the people that say bad things about him don’t feel very good about themselves.  Pete, with the help of T.J. sitting like a sparkle on his shoulder, makes new friends and learns the secret of happiness—loving his own specialness.

Read what people are saying about Pete’s Angel:
“A marvelous book for children and adults! I resolutely recommend it for any age. I offer heartfelt thanks to Ms. Darden for providing us with a mechanism for boosting self image and character in such a pleasant and comfortable way.”—F. Elizabeth Davis M.D, Board Certified Psychiatrist

“Pete’s Angel is a very special story that will warm the hearts of young children as they identify with Pete in his journey toward finding true happiness... self-acceptance.”—Rosalie O. Skeens,
School Counselor

Pete’s Angel goes far beyond a fairy tale story about a little boy and his spiritual friend—it reminds children and adults alike that the essence of who we really are is what makes us reach for the stars.  A wonderfully-written tale with beautiful illustration, this book will become a family favorite.
