Debatepedia launched its pro/con article on the back of one of the largest global public debates the world has ever seen, in which thousands of pro and con opinion pieces and editorials have been written in newspapers, magazines, and journals around the world regarding Israel’s assault in Gaza. So far, Debatepedia has taken some of the most prominent 20 pro and 20 con editorial and opinion pieces and drawn from them 58 unique pro and con arguments, each with between one and ten supporting quotations from the 40 editorial and opinion pieces.

Debatepedia is basically “the Wikipedia of debates”, a global wiki encyclopedia of public debates, pro and con arguments, and supporting quotations. It aims to engage citizen-editors in centralizing original arguments - as well as arguments and quotations found in millions articles, essays, and books - into a single encyclopedia.
