In 2008 there were 15 sales of properties listed at over $1 million in York, Kittery, and Ogunquit combined. Only one other agency participated in more than one such luxury home sale, with four, or 26%, of the luxury sales. In York alone, of nine sales with a list price over $1 million, Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty was involved in seven, or 78%.
The real estate agency’s 2008 dominance in the luxury real estate market follows an equally impressive 2006 and 2007. There were 59 luxury properties that sold for over $1 million in Kittery and York combined between January 2006 and December 2007. Of the 59 properties, Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty participated in 29, or 47%, of the sales. 2007 brought about two record breaking sales for Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty, including the highest riverfront price in Kittery ($2.65 million), and the highest price in York ($4.175 million).
