CAIP and Fibernetics Team Up for Cost Saving Unlimited Carrier Grade VPOP Offering: Confirm Your Interest Today
The Canadian Association of Internet Providers (CAIP) in conjunction with its partner Fibernetics, a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) is pleased to offer all CAIP and CATAAlliance members unlimited carrier grade VPOP (virtual point of presence) dial-up ports in major centers in Ontario and Quebec. Major centers in the rest of Canada will be available the 1st quarter of 2009.
Please note that members are not required to sign a contract for this program. CAIP/CATA members that subscribe to the program would be required to pay a $495 quarterly fee to CAIP, as part of creating an Advocacy Fund in support of important CAIP/CATA initiatives.
Savings of $100K to a "small" ISP
Described below is a representative example of a company making use of the offering:
— Number of dial-up internet subscribers = 2,400
— Number of VPOP ports = 240 (10:1 usage ratio)
— Competitor VPOP cost = $35/port/month
— Monthly cost to ISP = 240 x $35 = $8,400
— Annualized cost to ISP = 12 x $8,400 = $100,800
Utilizing the CAIP carrier grade VPOP program, the above- mentioned CAIP or CATA member company would retain/save over $100,000 annually.
Why is Fibernetics offering members such a great deal?
Carrier class Fibernetics, is offering access to its network to give back to the business community and help spread awareness to Canadian ISP’s that a new telecom alternative is in the market place. The fee of $495/Q paid to CAIP/CATA, entitles the participating ISP to use as many VPOP ports as required. There are no contracts and no hidden fees and the best part of the program is you are helping CAIP/CATA pursue regulatory issues on your behalf that will directly impact your business in the future. Fibernetics hopes that in the future those who participate in this amazing offer will consider Fibernetics for all their other telecom needs.
