Gainesville, Fla. - Dad Blogs, a new social networking site for dads and dad bloggers, launched today, providing dads and dad bloggers a place to share ideas among their peers. Through dad-related groups, forum threads and blog posts, Dad Blogs aims to provide a community and blog directory for dads looking to break traditional stereotypes while holding onto the best of what makes dads unique.
“After launching my own dad blog, I discovered that there were many more dads like me, but with few social media outlets tailored to us,” said Joe Schatz, co-administrator of Dad Blogs. “Dad Blogs fills this need with an opportunity for dads to unite and share common interests, breaking stereotypes and reshaping this emerging demographic.”
Dad Blogs provides dads of all types the opportunity to share their experiences with fatherhood or anything else - from music to beer to fantasy sports - through a forum, groups, photo and video galleries, and personal profiles. Most notable, however, is the community blog. All members are encouraged to contribute content based on their own personal experiences or opinions, creating a greater web presence for both the member and the voice of fathers. Dad Blogs is co-administered by Joe Schatz and Pete Janelle.
Joe Schatz is a married, stay-at home dad of three girls and lives is Havre de Grace, Maryland. Joe is co-administrator of Dad Blogs and author of Joeprah.com. He holds a degree in English Writing from Towson University.
