MeraLabs presented the Internet Air Tuner Project at the conference “The Russian Information Technologies and Software Industry. Innovations and Investments”
hosted by Microsoft. The Chief Technology Officer of Meralabs, Vladimir Krylov said that: “The current project is aimed at the broadband Internet users interested in various broadcasting content available in the network, such as professional and amateur TV and radio stations and a multitude of web cameras. Our experts managed to solve the problem of finding and identifying live broadcasting content sources”. It makes possible to find the sources relevant to the user queries and to present them in the form most innate to media content”.
The Internet Air Tuner project is based on a full-fledged search engine which is an in-house design of the company. The project leader, Denis Orel, says: “We have created resource search and analysis algorithms for live broadcasting content sources available on the Internet. The developed methods have been patented. The user can make a query either in the form of a conventional text line or with the help of adjustment sliders which create a tag cloud. Internet Air Tuner is a revolution in the sphere of the Internet media resource search”.
So far the research stage of the project has been completed, the search service has been tested and is ready to be promoted and adapted to get the status of a commercial product.
