Ellisville, MO -- Back in December, The Fleming Organization announced the creation of a ten person executive Advisory Board. After this morning's meeting, The Fleming Organization is already getting an immediate return on their investment.
"I think it is fair to say that our new Advisory Board is already paying off," said Fleming's Chief Operating Officer Kyle Jenson.
This morning's 7:00am meeting covered a variety of topics regarding all Fleming's companies. At the top of their agenda was filling their Chief Executive Officer position that became vacant earlier this week after then Chief Executive Officer Joel Mitchell decided to retire.
"Our number one goal heading into this meeting was to have a solution to who would fill our Chief Executive Officer position and with the assistance from our Advisory Board, we did exactly that and more," stated Chairman Terron Fleming.
After a unanimous vote, effective immediatley David Fleming, Terron's uncle, will take over as the companies Chief Executive Officer. David has extensive CEO experience.
"David brings a wealth of experience to this role," said Kyle Jenson. "As with our Advisory Board, I'm sure David won't disappoint us."
It was also announced that Mike McMahon, Senior Vice-President of Human Resources, will step down as head of Human Resources and step up as Vice-President of Marketing and Product Development for TMF Marketing USA, a subsidiary of The Fleming Organization. He will be replaced by his assistant Brian Fleming.
"This is a huge loss for our human resources department,"
Brian, Terron's half brother, has a Bachlor's degree in business administration and has held and completed every position in the Human Resources Department successfully.
"I know I have huge shoes to fill," said Brian. "But with the time I faithfully served under Mike, I'm confident that our Human Resources Department will continue to prosper and succeed."
Brian will also be in charge of Fleming Temps, Fleming's staffing agency.
In other moves, Thomas Wuller, Chief Strategy Officer, and Melissa Furhop, Chief Administrative Officer, will be moved to TMF Marketing USA to complete their executive staff. Their move will become effective in five weeks (February 16) when TMF Marketing USA moves to their own location.
