HOUSTON – Today the Vickie Milazzo Institute announced that it has reached an agreement with Elizabeth Rudolph and the National Center for Legal Nurse Consulting, whereby Rudolph without admitting any liability, has agreed to change her company's name, logos, printed materials and website to avoid the potential or appearance of infringing on Vickie Milazzo Institute's intellectual property.
In settling this dispute, founder of the Institute Vickie Milazzo, RN, MSN, JD, the pioneer of legal nurse consulting, noted: “It is good to get closure on these issues. We have worked hard for 27 years to create a body of intellectual property beneficial to Certified Legal Nurse Consultants. This resolution sends a strong message that the Institute’s intellectual property is protected under federal and state law, and the Institute will vigorously protect its intellectual property rights.” The Institute was represented in this matter by Bracewell & Giuliani LLP.
