Just two years ago no one new that Antoine King and Rondell Maddox would be hailed as the future hip hop moguls. After a short meeting in a parked car one night, SPATE Magazine was born. In just a few months SPATE magazine was building a powerful resume of celebrity interviews such as 50 cent, LL Cool J, Remy Ma, Styles P, Joell Ortiz, Easy Mo Bee and 100's more. After establishing themselves on the internet SPATE starting printing magazine issues. Those that were able to grace the cover included Nicki Minaj, Rasheeda, Pitbull, Scarface just to name a few. SPATE had managed to work with many of today's top record labels helping to promote albums within 1 years time. Not only did SPATE establish themselves as a powerful promotional brand but they managed to establish a group of brands such as SPATE Radio, SPATE TV, SPATE Films and SPATETOONS. Then Rondell Maddox aka MaddMann established his career as a music artist by performing all over the NYC area and being nominated for two UMA Awards and winning for "Most original artist". SPATE Films was established when they created a cartoon called "MaddMann the drunk reporter" and was placed on popular sites like www.thisis50.com and www.worldstarhiphop.com. The cartoon was loved by over 300,000 people leaving hilarious comments talking about how much they loved it.
The founders of SPATE Magazine not only established themselves as powerful promotional tools but made everyone fall in love with the wit and sense of humor,
something that most businesses lack. It only took SPATE Magazine a few months before
they were ranking in the top search on google under the keywords "hip hop magazine". They also rank high under the keywords "hip hop news' usually ranking on the first page under popular blogs.
SPATE magazine is now reaching millions of people worldwide in as little as two years. Many believe that SPATE magazine will have the power to break records on SPATE Radio as well as help to make films more popular with SPATE TV. Though in 2009 the resume will continue to grow. With 100's of hours of footage and pictures galore SPATE magazine will publish scrapbooks and DVD's featuring some of the most recent content. "We have so much content that we feel people haven't seen yet so we want the world to check it out" says co founder Antoine King. SPATE Magazine will also be working with Imeem to feature content to their over 10 million users via their imeem page www.imeem.com/
2009 looks incredible for SPATE Magazine and they have a few surprises that they can't talk about right now but you may see SPATE original programming on a major network coming real soon.
