RISING, top security products vendor, announces that Rising Antivirus won the VB100 award in December 2008, making it the third similar honor since the company joined the Virus Bulletin antivirus product test.
Virus Bulletin carried its antivirus product test on Microsoft’s Windows Vista X64 platform in December 2008. Using powerful and advanced security techniques, Rising Antivirus passed this test and won its third VB 100 Award.

“The Windows Vista operating system is still perceived as shiny and new, as well as a little scary, by both developers and users. The x64 architecture also has an alleged compatibility with standard 32-bit software”, says John Hawes in his Comparative Review. Many security products that took part in this test could not run steadily under the Vista X64 operating system, but Rising Antivirus passed the test, proving yet once again the quality and reliability of RISING’s security products.

Steven JF He, director or Rising Antivirus International, insists on the assets that made this possible: “Our long-time experience with security software and the partnerships we have with important IT companies in the world are helping us to further develop our products according to requirements. Users can trust Rising security product to provide Real-Time security protection and to be a loyal security guard.”

Apart from the VB awards, Rising Antivirus also got important honors from important authorities in the IT area, such as specialized international magazines and governmental institutions.

About VB100 award
The VB100 award was first introduced in 1998. In order to display the VB100 logo, an anti-virus product must prove in Virus Bulletins tests that it detects all In the Wild viruses during both on-demand and on-access scanning; also, it doesn’t have to generate false positives when scanning a set of clean files. The security product must fulfill these requirements using default settings.
