PacketLight Networks Ltd., a leading provider of Data and Storage Extension connectivity solutions, announced today that its CWDM and DWDM connectivity products have successfully completed the IBM's Tivoli Ready Certification Program, having met its testing requirements for system compatibility, interoperability, ease-of-installation, functionality, and network interoperability as defined and controlled by IBM.
The Tivoli Netcool / Omnibus NMS Server can now interoperate fully with PacketLight Networks' CWDM and DWDM connectivity products, that allow for various services from 2Mbps to 10Gbps to be multiplexed over dark fibre, in various topologies such as rings, stars and of course point-to-point networks.
In addition to PacketLight's built-in web-based management system, and PacketLight's own EMS, IBM users can now integrate their PacketLight WDM systems, using SNMP traps, into their existing IBM Tivoli NMS. This enables the IBM user to see all elements and events under a scalable and unified management platform.
