Solutions Group Acquires Engineering Company in Bucharest, Romania

Jan. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- Santa Barbara, California, USA and Bucharest Romania -- Solutions Group (SOLU.PK) announces the acquisition an Engineering Services Company located in Bucharest, Romania.  The engineering team is focused on cutting-edge technology for the companies in the commercial electronics industry at a reduced cost, compared to the US or Western Europe.


In making the announcement, Sean O'Neil (Founding member of SGI) described the acquisition as growth-driven, adding a greater range of capabilities to SGI's offerings for its expanding customer base.  SGI is experiencing rapid and consistent growth in Western Europe.

O’Neil goes on describe Bucharest, which has a one hour time difference from Germany and Switzerland, as a technology center of Easter Europe that has a large pool of trained engineers, at a reduced cost from Western Europe.  “This acquisition furthers our ability to cut costs for companies trying to weather these difficult financial times.  Companies in Western Europe are facing the same situations as we are in the US; they need to continue to develop new products for the future, but have to reduce costs in the present.  I think this has contributed to the growth we’re seeing in this region”, explains O’Neil

As Bucharest is 10 hours ahead of California, and 8 hours ahead of Austin, the move also gives SGI the ability to work a 24 hour engineering shift.  “The time difference makes it very efficient to work together on the same project at different shifts”, says Oneil, allowing SGI to cut turn-around times for design cycles, as well as costs.  Going on, O’Neil says “the one-two punch of cost and time-to market, makes SGI very competitive going forward”.
