Business Xpansion Journal Publishes Article on “Obama’s Entrepreneurial Moment”

Vass is one of the founders of the new national professional association, The Innovation Economics Alliance, LLC, based in Reston, Va.

“We are advocating a new approach to the nation’s economic strategy, based upon metro regional capital markets that target investments to regional technological commercialization,” said Vass. “The Obama administration is getting many different policy options from traditional economic consultants and lobbyists, none of which will solve the long-term structural weaknesses in the U. S. economy,” he added.

In the article, Vass compares the three major policy options currently being promoted in Washington. He contrasts each policy option against the top five major economic problems confronting America.

The article notes that, “The free market is a very fragile system that operates well when the values of trust, honesty, and truth support market transactions that are framed by laws and regulations. America's economy is sick because neither the core cultural values nor the adherence to laws have been operating for many years, and the trends are negative.”

Vass concluded that, “President-elect Obama has an entrepreneurial moment in America's economic history to renew the nation's economic strength. The pathway to success in the economy is just like his pathway of campaign success. Both rely on an entrepreneurial strategy that fundamentally changes the way the national economy has been run.”
