The International Cat Association Show brings a large variety of cool and rare cats to Portland during their 4th Annual Championship Cat Show and canned food drive for the Oregon Food Bank.

45% of Pacific Northwest households have cats and a happy household has enough food for everyone.  Cats and people each consider food an essential ingredient to a happy home, and this year the Oregon Food Bank needs even more food.

Celebrate the human-feline bond as instructive and friendly judges bring the world of feline beauty into purr-spective while they examine over 200 distinguished cats in over 40 breeds.  Continuous judging occurs both days of the show which features many domestic cat breeds seen only at shows sanctioned by The International Cat Association, (TICA). Breeds include the:

Pixiebob – Looks like a Lynx and with a legendary history from the Pacific Northwest; is it really Bigfoots cat?

Bengal – Known as loving lap leopards, they have the look of the big cats, with the personality and size of the domestic

Munchkin –  If you like Dachshunds, you’ll love the cat version combining short legs and long bodies with a cat face

Sphynx  – No cat hair on the couch with this hairless cat breed, they also use their paws like hands with fingers!

Plus:  Bold British Shorthairs – Magnificent Maine Coons – Pampered Persians – Relaxed Ragdolls – Slinky Siamese

A feline shopping mall will feature sturdy cat trees, fluffy cat beds, enticing cat teasers, sparkling t-shirts, and fresh catnip toys at great prices.  Nutro will provide free cat food samples for all spectators.

Happy and Healthy Cats & Kittens from Chapple Hill Cat Sanctuary, a local non-profit shelter, will be available for adoption.

Fun & affordable family event ~ educational presentations ~ special classes for household pets
