LAS VEGAS, NV - ViaCube will debut MyViaCube.com on Thursday at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show (International CES). MyViaCube™
MyViaCube Brings Unified Communications to the Masses
MyViaCube brings together all online and offline communication, manageable from the browser, with capabilities previously found primarily in complex enterprise unified communications solutions. Users can communicate via email, voice mail, video mail and via direct VoIP calling, all from a single, unified communications center. Live video and voice calls may be made via VoIP, as well as calls to traditional telephone landlines. The solution includes a unique “call hunting” capability, allowing users to set up rules for forwarding calls through various phone numbers, in any order they wish. For example, a user could have calls routed to an office phone, mobile phone and home phone number until the call is answered. If unanswered, all messages are directed to a single mailbox.
Privacy Features Make Social Networking More Secure and Manageable
The “Friends and Family” social networking features within MyViaCube give users granular control over access to their content, contacts, media and messages. While most social networks offer public or private settings at the profile level, MyViaCube allows privacy to be set for individual content, contacts, bulletin board posts and media assets. For example, a user may set accessibility options globally for a group of individuals, or set privacy for a single calendar entry or photo. According to company officials, the intent is not to create an open, global social network, but rather to provide a “personal OS” that gives the user tools to manage their digital life and assets with enhanced privacy and accessibility.
Built on Innovative Technology
MyViaCube is built on ViaCube’s OpusOS™, a platform-agnostic, multimodal interaction framework for engineering portable and unified Web, rich media and communications solutions. It is an open, standards-based framework that exists at a level of abstraction above a traditional computing architecture. The framework borrows concepts from advanced math and science disciplines to create solutions that adapt to the unique, infinitely variable needs, perceptions and behaviors of individual people. This new thinking in human-computer interaction shields both technology professionals and end-users from concerns about complexity, accessibility and compatibility.
MyViaCube.com is currently in beta testing and is available to ViaCube business partners and enterprise customers for pilot programs. It provides ViaCube’s business partners and enterprise customers with a deployment-ready solution that also offers faster, easier customization and extension. MyViaCube.com will be opened to the general public following further testing and pilot deployments.
