Jeevan Aastha Detail:
Life Insurance Corporation of India has launched One time premium policy Jeevan Aastha on 8th Dec 2008.
This is the only single premium life insurance product with guaranteed benefits on maturity and death.
This scheme is offered with five and ten-years term giving a guaranteed 9% and 10% p.a. of maturity sum
respectively plus loyalty addition (if any). The minimum age for entry in this policy is 13 years, the maximum is 60 years (Nearest birthday).
The minimum basic sum assured will be Rs 1.5 lakh. In the first year, the risk coverage will be six times the
maturity sum assured along with the guaranteed returns while it will be double the maturity amount after one year.
The premium paid and returns from the product will be exempted from tax.
Premium gets section 80C benefit along with other investments allowed under the same section upto Rs 1
Lakh per annum, Maturity Amount received will be exempted under Section 10(10D) of the Income Tax Act.
Minimum Investment is Rs.25,000/- (One time Premium) and there is no maximum limit.
Jeevan Aastha is Close-ended plan, Single Premium Plan.
