A new family-friendly entertainment center is set to open early next year in Wentzville. It's called "Exodus" and it's the brainchild of brothers Darain and Cory Atkinson, owners of the Atkinson Group of companies, which includes U.S. Fidelis, one of the nation's leading providers of extended automobile warranties.
The gathering spot is located in a 10,000 square-foot building in the Crossings at Wentzville complex, owned by the Atkinson's, on Mall Parkway. "The nightspot will cater to teens and young adults who currently don't have a lot of entertainment options, outside of the shopping mall or the movies," said Chris Rowton, the general manager of Exodus. Rowton says 70% of the club's business will be live music, with ticket prices being event specific. Rowton says not only does Exodus fill a need for an age-appropriate gathering spot for area teens; other groups will be utilizing the space as well, such as the Wentzville Chamber of Commerce and several area fraternal organizations.
Exodus is scheduled to open in January 2009.
