ActionCOACH Carlos Trevino recently added the executive coaching certification to his existing business coaching qualifications.
Trevino has been coaching the owners of small-to-medium sized businesses from his business coaching firm in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
As soon as ActionCOACH added executive coaching to its products and services, Trevino acquired training and became part of the company’s first executive coaching training class, which took place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Through my ActionCOACH business coaching firm, I coached three executives to improve performance and found out how they had previously used coaching with less than satisfactory results,” he said. “This is when I realized I had to add this dimension to my business and help these people in addition to the owners of small and medium sized businesses.”
Using the sporting analogy, Trevino discussed the need for a coach both in life and in business.
“Large corporations are dynamic and complex and need quick results in order to thrive and survive in this cut-throat world of business,” he said. “This requires C-level executives to perform at their maximum potential, which can only be achieved with the help of an external Executive Coach.”
Trevino will be using referrals, public relations, networking and speaking engagements as ways to market his firm’s executive coaching services. He has already pitched to some corporations who are open to the idea of coaching for staff training.
“I see closing the sale as a big challenge, since selling this type of service has a rather long sales cycle,” he said. “However, the challenges are not without some great opportunities.”
Winner of the ActionMAN award for teamwork (2008) in North America; the Coaches’ Choice award (2007) in Mexico and the Coach of the Year award (2002 & 2005) in Mexico, Trevino has also been nominated for Best Group Coaching Worldwide.
