SightSpan CMA Training Attendees
SightSpan, Inc. collaborated with the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) to deliver International Anti- Money Laundering (AML) and Combating Terrorist Financing (CTF) training class in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
SightSpan senior consultants, Junaid Ward and Thomas Nollner, accompanied by SightSpan CEO, John Walsh, conducted the sessions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in December 2008. Ward and Nollner delivered the CAMS examination preparatory class to 22 members of the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Saudi Arabia. The delegates included senior managers and compliance officers of the CMA.
In addition to addressing the key components of the CAMS examination, the training was expanded to include content specific to detecting possible money laundering and terrorist financing activity in the securities industry, with specific reference to the AML guidelines that are followed in the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region. SightSpan also covered MENA FATF recommendations, in which they are well versed.
Feedback from the CMA attendees was positive and the group was extremely engaged in both the content of the course and their personal passion in establishing preventive measures to protect the KSA Marketplace and the international community, related to both AML and CTF risk management.
