The first annual Christmas gala hosted by Brad's Kids Pediatric Cancer Foundation was the place to be on Sunday night. Over 200 people turned out including joynt owner and sinatra cronie Stan Wozniak, Judge Anthony Burrell, and Scott Lee Cohen. The event featured blues legend Shirley King performing live and food from Angie's Pizza. The event was sponsored by the joynt, the literacy volunteers of illinois, Angie's Pizza, Newmark Knight Frank, Three Olives Vodka, Celebrity Spotlight Radio, and Cohen's Green Cleaning Supplies. The event raised $4,000 for Brad's Kids Pediatric Cancer Foundation. A 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides toys to children being treated for cancer. Brad's Kids Chairman Brad Pogofsky had this to say about the event, " We have some extremely loyal supporters to draw a crowd this big in below zero weather." Also in attendance was Dorothy Miaso, director of the literacy volunteers of illinois, Terry Flynn of Playboy Golf, John Mecloud, former committee ward Chairman.
