Immaculate Conception Stone found at thrift store outside Philadelphia. A one of a kind supernatural occurrence of the Virgin Mary was found at a thrift store Friday, January 2, 2009 while a Philadelphia woman was looking for a bargain dresser for her step daughter.
"We were looking for a dresser for my stepdaughter that was moving into a new apartment, my youngest daughter had a little money burning a hole in her pocket and wanted to look in the jewelry case. Immediately, I spotted the ring and the vision was clear; I saw the Virgin Mary, a majestic halo surrounding her and the immaculate conception."
The stone appears to be Mother of Pearl with the background being white and Mary's head being a bluish tone. The stone is 5/8" by 3/8" and was found set in a sterling silver filigree ring.
Over the last few years several of these types of items have been sold in the marketplace and the value is difficult to determine. The most famous of these items is the grilled cheese sandwich that sold for $28,000 on EBay in 2004.
