YardGuards are made in the USA by veterans and/or active and reserve personnel. YardGuards manufactures wooden statues, plaques and signs representing Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard servive.
Beginning in 2005, YardGuards has seen steady growth since then and now produces a portion of the awards for the Marine Corps Marathon. Our production shop has moved from it's basement beginnings to a 2000 square foot facility.
Our belief is the original product and company namesake the 'YardGuard' is an actual representation of an individual whom is serving or has served the county in uniform. The YardGuard is a custom statue that offers choice of rank, gender and skin color.
YardGuard products are made primarily with a CNC router system. We also utilize laser engraving and decal printing to name a few. All items are hand painted by veterans and/or active duty and reserve personnel. YardGuards produces a full line of wall signs and plaques. Themes range from images like the flag raising on Iwo Jima to logos for all Armed Forces. Some items can be placed in the yard too. Each piece is painted using American Traditions Valspar exterior paint, rated #1 by Consumer Reports.
Since our first sales on Ebay we've grown to support the National Museum of the Marine Corps, Marine Corps Marathon, Marine Corps Leagues and more. We are proud to be represented online by Sgt. Grit, Soldier City, eMarinePX, The Flag Factory and others.
YardGuard owner Eric Tischler served in the Marine Corps from 1983-1987 with 3rd Batt. 8th Marines. A portion of his enlistment included a deployment with then 24thMAU to Beirut, Lebanon as part of the Multinational Peacekeeping Unit.
