So what is EveryDay Life? Is it a comedy or as Taj Longino of HYPE Magazine Radio stated “this may be the funniest book ever written”. Yes EveryDay Life is very funny, but as Ghostwriter Literary Review stated “it only enhances the seriousness of their discussions”
The complexity in explaining exactly what EveryDay Life has to offer the reader has everything to due with the fact that there really is nothing similar to it, or as Conversations Book Club expressed it “the book is a mixture of THE WOOD, THE BEST MAN mixed in with the drama of your favorite Tyler Perry play”. Those proclamations should be enough to get a sense of EveryDay Life, but somehow they may not quite let everyone know what EveryDay Life is, this is The Clarion Ledger’s attempt at description “life of ordinary men who are faced with extraordinary challenges who have to look outside of themselves to find a way to deal with those challenges”. It is likely that African American’s on the Move had a handle on it when they said that “Each page is filled with truth, passion, and reality”. These are merely some of the quotes used to describe EveryDay Life.
Possibly the academic arena can place a more intellectual spin on what EveryDay Life has offers its readers, Professor Utley said “I loved how you mixed humor with very savvy socio-political messages”. I think we have gotten close to what EveryDay Life had in store for these readers, but what does it have in store for you or as book reviewer Danelle Drake said “The characters taught me more than I could ever imagine”. Words such as, Profound, enlightening, entertaining, compelling are quite used to capture the emotional aspect of EveryDay Life.
