The Get Together – an organization of Houston area business leaders dedicated to helping Faith Based nonprofits – has brought the WorkFaith Connection to the attention of the Price of Business Show and it will be the beneficiary of a remote in February. The exact date and location are yet to be determined.
This organization describes itself as follows: “The WorkFaith Connection (formerly known as The Working Connection) is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization ultimately providing its members with the ability to achieve economic self-sufficiency through job placement, job retention and career advancement. The program empowers people with the ability to provide for themselves and their families emotionally, spiritually, and financially;
Kevin Price, Host of the Price of Business (M-F at 11 am on CNN 650), said “this is the kind of organization that I absolutely love. Instead of merely providing the means to sustain themselves a little longer or one of the many programs that further fosters dependence, this organization changes lives and I’m delighted to do a remote for its benefit.”
At a remote for nonprofits, the organization receives 10 percent of the receipts during lunch and people are invited to donate to the organization. If you are with a nonprofit and wish to be considered as a beneficiary of a remote or if you own or manage a restaurant and want to enjoy a large crowd at your location, let us know. Call Stacy at 832.643.2953 or email here at SWalston@HoustonBusinessMediaGroup.com.
The first of Kevin Price’s remotes for nonprofits in 2009 will be at Angelos Houston on January 21, beginning at 10.45 AM. That event will benefit the Limbs of Love. Learn more about that event here.
The Price of Business Show is planning on making this a year dedicated to nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in the community. “Houston is a big hearted city and our neighbors are facing considerable challenges. I’m glad we can help make a difference,”
