Tunerjunkyard.com will launch its new website solution on Friday, January 2nd, 2009. Tuner Junkyard plans to no longer use eBay as a sales medium. The company is considering alternative sites for auction-type sales, and will announce their plans in the next several days.
Owner Jerod Husvar states "eBay has completely lost focus and is imposing restrictions and regulations that seem to change constantly. We no longer feel that eBay.com is a viable sales medium for small business, especially ours. With the excessive fees, constant changes in rules, and complete lack of accountability to sellers, eBay has, in our opinion, jumped the shark."
TunerJunkyard.com's decision to stop using eBay.com as their sales medium has been a decision that has been thought over for almost 6 months. Their new solution with SimplePart will allow them virtually complete control of their sales process and will eliminate interruptions in service that have plagued their relationship with eBay.
Owner Marisa Torres added to Mr. Husvar's comment, "eBay changes their rules and standards on what seems to be a weekly basis. When a seller with 99.1% positive feedback on one account and 100% positive feedback on a second account can be arbitrarily put out of business because of a few low results on Detail Seller Ratings or Negative Feedbacks, things have gone too far. Especially when their is no viable appeal process, nor consideration of circumstances. We'll spend our money elsewhere."
TunerJunkyard.com will launch their new website on January Second, 2009. eBay.com made over a dozen significant policy changes in 2008.
