Ted Koval joins PMForum’s global correspondents network in Omaha, Nebraska to provide project management news from the Midwestern USA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Jan 01, 2009 – Dallas, Texas — PMForum, Inc announced today that Ted Koval has been named an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today.  PMForum’s global network of international correspondents delivers project management-related news and information from around the world and provides local representation.  PMForum operates www.pmforum.org, the world’s first website devoted to professional project management, and produces the popular monthly online global project management e-Journal PM World Today.

According to PMForum Managing Editor David Pells, “Ted Koval brings a unique set of experiences to the PMForum team.  With his background in politics, especially related to managing campaigns and projects within state political systems, he has a perspective on an important social sector that few PM professionals have.  Now as a technology project manager at one of the best known financial services firms in the USA, he brings real world perspective from an industry where the demand for professional project management continues to grow.  As the economy and financial sector in the USA rebound in coming months, his insights should be very useful.”

Based in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, Ted Koval is a Senior Business Project Manager for Mutual of Omaha, a Fortune 500 insurance and financial services company based in Omaha, Nebraska. Ted has 13+ years of experience as a Project Manager both inside and outside of State government in the United States.  Ted previously managed offices and campaigns for several Pennsylvania State Representatives.  He served as Director of the Policy Committee for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he managed legislative issues, including the preparation and passage of legislation.  Ted oversaw the implementation of the State enabling legislation for the historic Federal “Motor Voter” law, and was the Project Manager for the first nationally recognized centralized voter registration system, which became a model for the Federal “Help America Vote Act” in the USA.

Ted Koval has served as a speaker on election and voter registration laws, software systems and issues across the USA.  Ted was hired by the nation’s largest voting systems provider to serve as Project Manager and Sales Engineer, where he assisted in the sales, design, development and implementation of enterprise class voter registration and election systems across the United States.  Ted has served as Project Manager, Director of Project Management, director of a Project Management Office and as a Director of Operations.  Ted has a BS degree in Political Science/Journalism, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, USA.  He has also completed international and political studies in London and Washington, DC.  He is an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and holds PMI’s project management professional (PMP) certification.

PMForum’s Global Correspondents Network now includes representatives in over 30 countries and several US states, with more being added monthly.  Additional information about PMForum’s Global Correspondents Network and about individual correspondents can be found at http://www.pmforum.org/pm%20forum%20team/index.htm#5
