This is not the first time people have heard of recording artist Teairra Mari, but the leak of the first single “Hunt for You” from her upcoming album had pundits of all stripes weighing in. “I’m in love, I can’t stop singing the hook”, was the response one new fan posted in the comment section on concreteloop.com after listening to the song. Although others were not as overwhelmed, the majority of the comments were favorable. “Love Teaira Mari, it looks like she’s going to have a strong comeback”, wrote another visitor to the popular urban blog site. The single features Pleasure P from the R&B group, Pretty Ricky. The song is about being in a relationship with a guy who begins changing and the female is on the hunt for the person they fell in love with. Teairra Mari’s album is slated to be released early spring 09.’
Teairra Marí worked with Jay-Z, in his first collaboration project since becoming president of Def Jam Records, to create "Make Her Feel Good" along with producer Sean Garrett, the lead single from her debut album on Roc-A-Fella/
