Independent Business News Network 2009

Dec. 30, 2008 - PRLog -- In 2009, the Independent Business News Network will launch a watchdog site that deals with bad business practices from local and national community agencies doing business in underserved communities. IBNN will also provide solutions in a clear and positive way in order to bring a focused picture of process and how things should work.

Since IBNN is based in the Twin Cities, (Minneapolis/St. Paul) we will attempt to clean up our own back yard first and bring attention to the “poverty pimps” in North Minneapolis who eat well each night at the cost of the community.  Secondly, we will ask local social-service agencies, “What do you do?”  This always opens up discussion on procedures and policy reviews for a community that has not seen any economic stimuli in over 30 years.

IBNN will also join forces with V-Media Development Corporation (V-MDC), to address the rising lack of engagement between local minority-ethnic media outlets and national advertising firms as it pertains to information to the community that in some cases supports retail outlets with dollars spent.  V-MDC’s position is that you can’t ignore minority-ethnic media when doing advertising and marketing.  Media buys should include minority-ethnic media as well as the mainstream media.

2009 will be an exciting year.
