Interceptor Body Armor Reviews- May 2003
In May 2003 many soldiers fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom were asked what they thought of their equipment. What equipment needed improvement and what they felt comfortable with in battle. Soldiers were questioned in various different fields such as: soldiers from the armed battalions, cavalry squadrons, clerks , mechanics, and medical personnel. Everyone had very informative advice about their equipment and the protection they received going into action.

Protection is the most important factor in survivability in combat and the Interceptor Body Armor received very high reviews from all soldiers and personnel. Soldiers have great confidence in their body armor and they felt that their body armor provided sufficient protection in combat. The soldiers were more confident about their safety and welfare when going into action. The performance demonstrated by the Interceptor Body Armor during the operation was remarkable. There were numerous examples of impacts that could or should have been fatal that resulted in minor or no injury at all. The Interceptor Body Armor saved soldiers from shrapnel, 9mm handguns and even the AK-47 assault rifle which is the most commonly used weapon in Iraq and Afghanistan.
