What should we pray for, for the New Year ? Everyone has own special wishes, but as the
inhabitants of "earth", we have common wishes too.
The economists must sit down and ponder and find the reasons why the world has landed on a terrible economic crisis. We must design such economic and social systems which will protect the world population from economic crises - which can cause great suffering on the part of the people, even wars or increased crime or poverty and hunger.
May God help the mankind come out the crisis we are in now !
We must concentrate ourselves in protecting the environment, so it does not cause greater
catastrophies than it has already caused.
We must do all, within our power, to stop the wars and the weapon conflicts and achieve peace. Killing of human beings by other human beings is totally unacceptable.
We must try to decrease and eliminate crime.
We must fight against our bad habits : narcomany, alcoholism, smoking, gambling.
May God help us with these!
May God help our scientists succeed with their efforts to find remedies for the illnesses that abound us.
And help our artists create more beauty for us.
May God help us with our efforts to achieve love among us, and justice and enable us
to overcome our greed and share with our fellow men what we have.
May God help us understand that the life and the universe are not a result of series of
lucky co-incidents, but they are designed by a great power - God.
