TagParty Launches TagParty Sport for 2009

PRLog (Press Release) – Dec 29, 2008 – TagParty, a mobile outdoor laser tag business operating in Maryland and the surrounding area, is introducing a new product/service offering for 2009. The new service, called TagParty Sport, is an extension of the existing TagParty business and is aimed at providing a more challenging laser tag adventure for the older age groups and the corporate training market.

A TagParty outdoor laser tag event combines the best features of paintball, indoor arena laser tag, and your favorite first person shooter video game. While audio, visual and sometimes tactile feedback keeps the adrenalin flowing in a laser tag game, there are no projectiles, making laser tag inherently safer than either paintball or airsoft . The lack of painful hits, bruises and lingering welts, associated with paintballs and airsoft pellets, opens laser tag up to younger players and those who are put-off by the pain factor of the projectile based games. The games are played outdoors using TagParty barriers and any other available cover in the playing area. A variety of game types can be played for fun or  emphasizing a particular team building skill.

The New TagParty Sport "Taggers", what the laser tag guns are called, are heavier and more realistic than the standard TagParty  "Tagger" and when asked why, Eudene Rossi the founder and owner of TagParty explained "TagParty has been successfully hosting events in and around Maryland for many years now, and we have been listening to and observing our clients. We knew that our existing Taggers were ideal for our main age group, but the older kids wanted a more realistic and accurate Tagger with head sensors for a more challenging game."..."We however wanted to make sure that while the new Taggers felt more realistic they did not look like a real weapon, safety is a key concern at  TagParty event as is promoting a socially acceptable and healthy activity".

Eudene went on to differentiate the new TagParty Sport offering by explaining "TagParty Sport is for High School age participants and older, where the heavier Taggers add to the fun, rather than just fatiguing the younger players. TagParty Sport is a natural extension for those who have previously enjoyed a TagParty event(s) and are now looking to take outdoor laser tag to the next level." And as for TagParty itself  "We continue to offer our standard TagParty  and in fact are adding more crews this year to keep up with the demand."

TagParty Sport hopes to capture a small portion of the vast first shooter video game business by trying to get video game players to leave their couch and experience first hand a Tactical Action Game (TAG). Hence the slogan on the TagParty Sport  website  "Your Video Game Just Came to Life!"
