To fill global talent gap, Diploma in Indian Cuisine, Restaurant Management & Entrepreneurship

In co-operation with the University of Business and Finance (UBFS) Switzerland, King’s Kurry has assembled a world-class English-speaking faculty which will cover every aspect of Indian cuisine and restaurant business, management and entrepreneurship – including standardisation of procedures, day to day restaurant accounting,  strategy, organisational and marketing skills for successful business.  

King’s Kurry, founded in 2002, is reputed to be the best Indian cuisine company in continental Europe, with five outlets in Zurich, and already selling its convenience foods and drinks through some 500 Migros and Edeka outlets in Switzerland and Germany.

Mr Ranjeet Guptara, Chairman of King’s Kurry said: “What led to the idea for this co-operation is that a student intern four years ago (from another institution!) is now managing one of our restaurants.  As a growing company, we are ourselves looking for suitable employees - and there is in fact a worldwide shortage of qualified and able managers and entrepreneurs because of the explosion in Indian cuisine's popularity everywhere.  The Education Division of King's Kurry has been set up to meet this need, and we are delighted to be co-operating with the University of Business and Finance Switzerland in order to serve the wider European and indeed global market”.
