Internationally noted research and development engineer Marshall Barnes is preparing to release a stream of new research, dealing with the nature of time and the potential of time travel; that is said to be "revolutionary"
Far from just theoretical, this research has an experimental basis on a variety of levels, ranging from mathematical geometries to psychological studies, to the creation of a device that has been said to be the first functioning prototype for warp drive. This device, the STDTS, has been the subject of much Internet speculation - most of it inaccurate and ill-informed, but is slated to be featured in an upcoming documentary for televsion and the home market. A CD documentary and book is also in the works, that will contain the full gamut of this new information, with at least one major literary agent having expressed interest.
In 2005, Marshall held a press conference releasing the first private sector analysis of the 2004 Air Force Teleportation Physics Study, which he said was the product of his being asked to investigate the commercial exploitation of the Study. The goal was to see if a privately funded research program could be implemented to develop a potential technological architectural platform to acheive practical teleportation, based on the Study's suggestions for engineering the spacetime metric to create transversable wormholes. He got in that position because of a wealthy industrialist who knew of his work on the STDTS.
According to the March 2003 Scientific American Special Edition article, Negative Energy, Wormholes and Warp Drive, by Lawrence H. Ford and Thomas A. Roman(http://www.sciamdigital.com/
A formal announcement, about what will be released by Marshall, will be made January 16th at a location and time to be announced.
