NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM COMES TO BROOKLYN
We all recall the recent film ‘A Night at the Museum’ where Ben Stiller’s character working as a Security guard discovers that the Museum personalities come alive when the museum closes.
Well that storyline isn’t far off from a reality. That reality exists in a small urban neighborhood in Brooklyn , NY named The Living Torah Museum (www.torahmuseum.com ). Although this museum in reality does not actually come to life, the rare artifacts it hosts bring world history and Judean Antiquities to life for those whom are fortunate to visit it.
Founded by Rabbis Shimon Deutsh through the generosity of supporters such as the well known Humanitarian and Philanthropists David H Brooks; the museum has grown into the worlds largest privately held museums specializing in hosting biblical antiquities. According to Hershel Shanks, editor of Biblical Archaeology Review, this is the only museum in the U.S. dedicated solely to biblical archeology.
To date Rabbi Deutsch has managed to put together over 900 artifacts worth over 14 million dollars.
The museum is open to the public and welcomes and encourages schools and groups to schedule a tour. For sponsorship opportunities please visit our website or contact us directly at office.
