Part 8: Should Believers Become Angry On The Road To Paradise?
Writer’s Note: I see not anger, but deep and venerated concern for my fellowman. My heart burns as the world and the not so righteous, turn from the Creator to man and his useless things. My emotions would never cease to cry out as I go about this life in the Spirit. Every day is the Lord’s Day and every day we lift up Jesus.
In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth
Greetings Brethren,
Peace be unto you. To the Church and believing Christians everywhere and those that believe in the Bible as the Supreme authority of God’s Laws. For the record and the sign post many people that confess to be Christians are now during these trying times looking to man, materialism and God knows what as additional authorities on how to get to Heaven. Glory be to God our Father and to His Son our Savior Christ Jesus blessed by the Holy Spirit.
Beloved we are so grateful for the Truth of God. Thus we can feel the Spirit of Jeremiah as the righteous will not allow God’s Truth to dwell shut up in their bones. Therefore we bear witness, that those called as scribes and messengers we again say more than once are controlled by God and not man. We still can hear Jeremiah, we hear Noah, we hear Job, and we see Jesus.
At the 4th Division of Jonah we see an additional powerful scripture that will surely be a blessing to the writer and those who read these humble words of inspiration.
Jonah 4: 1 “But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.”
Beloved is it a sin to be angry? Did Jesus express anger? Therefore, what is most important? Is it how you direct anger?
Anger is surely not a sin unless it (anger) directs you to do something wrong. We (FreedomJournal)
Editors Note: Although the series on “Notes On The Black Family” is very important as to the historical, economic, social, political and psychological impact of the Black family (the human family) on society we have placed it at rest. Investigative research that causes us such anguish and stress contradicts our on-going quest to be too blessed to be stressed. However we will closely look at Jeremiah as we look at his trials and tribulations regarding his called mission as a beloved servant of God and Christ. We trust also that we will not be called to further develop this series, but we pray that we will be obedient and follow God as He leads and directs us as we feel and stay in the Spirit.
Meanwhile Jonah did not say anything that was sinful as he expressed anger. However he was greatly disturbed that God did not see fit to punish the people of Nineveh. Now go with us to the New Testament for a cross reference on anger.
Ephesians 4: 26: “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.”
Again we note the mere fact of being angry is not a sin. For example, Jesus looked and expressed anger at Mark 3:5. At Psalms 7: 11 we see that God is angry with the wicked every day. Anger becomes a sin when one allows his anger to lead him to do something that is sinful. The Apostle Paul teaches us not to harbor angry thoughts overnight resolve them before the day closes. The longer one has angry thoughts the more he may be tempted by Satan to commit a sin.
Jonah had sacrificed greatly to render God’s message to Nineveh. Thus he wanted them punished. Also many Jews as the chosen people to render the word to the Gentiles were not interested in other people receiving God’s blessings and mercy. However on the road to Paradise we may experience anger, but we also must accept God’s will.
Jonah 4: 2 also see Jeremiah 20: 7 and Hosea 11: 8-9. He was not so angry with a particular person but angry with the whole situation.
