FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec 26, 2008 -
Many of us suffer with back pain, headaches, fatique, tension, stress just to name a few. I’m not a bit fan of exercise, one reason being my poor back always gets strained which only makes me feel worse. I’d like to find something that can help my body heal and reduce or eliminate these common ailments. I looked into Inversion therapy and read dozens of customers opinions who are using inversion tables and here is a summary of my discovery.

The majority of reviews I read from people using an inversion table were positive. They described it as relaxing and fun. They reported it to be part of their daily routine after working, working out, jogging, walking, just about everyone said they use it at least 3 times a week mostly for the benefits they receive.

Overall similarities in the reviews I read include:

*Inversion elongates the spine, increasing the space between the vertebrae, which relieves the    pressure on discs, ligaments and nerve roots. Less pressure means less back pain.
When your discs are compressed and thinned, your vertebrae potentially place more pressure on these nerve roots. More pressure equals more pain. As you relax, your spine begins to stretch. The space between each vertebra will increase, thus decreasing the pressure on the discs between each vertebra. This encourages fluid movement back into the disc, helping to keep your discs plump and happy and decreasing the pain in your back.

* Reduces tension and stress. People say inversion therapy feels so good as it stretches the body, relaxing muscles and helping it heal from the beating it took earlier in the day. Whether you’re a stay at home mom taking care of the kids and a thousand other things, sitting at a desk all day typing doing paperwork, walking your legs off, getting yelled at by the boss, whatever you may have experienced, inversion therapy seems to be a great way to wind down. It kind of reminds me of yoga, except you can actually be comfortable while inverting.

*Some people claim that the color and tone of their skin is improved, along with increased mental alertness, better hearing and vision. In addition to this, people wrote that their hair is growing faster. I checked this out further and discovered that these benefits come from the
increase of oxygen and blood flow to the head.

*People report that they have regained lost height by regular inversion therapy. I don’t know about you, but I pray I don’t shrink like my Grandmother did as I get older. I do notice my posture is not what it used to be. The average person loses about ½ to 2 inches in their life time. Ouch

* Relieves Varicose Veins
When inverting, you are helping your heart to clear the blood from your feet, legs, and lower body. This allows the blood in your limbs to circulate more easily, which may help to drain blood from varicose veins. Maybe we won’t have to cover up with panty hose or get that painful lazer treatment.

Well, it does make sense that inversion therapy can be benefinical for sure. I think I was sold on the reduction or elimination of back pain, but it has helped  people in other important ways as well. There’s no denying that gravity is our constant companion as we get older and things start heading south, so to speak. It would be nice to reverse the effect of gravity, reduce pain, improve brain function and even build a better self image.
