Dec. 26, 2008 - PRLog -- A new type of community is now available for people who are looking for a greener lifestyle. This sustainable community has lots available from $70,000, with improved road access, electricity and water. Orchard areas, some of which were planted ten years ago, and organic gardens in development will create a sustainable living environment. Those who chose to live above the crowds, but would like to be close enough to the beach, banks and shopping will find this an ideal, affordable place to live. Access to the 50+ acre Nature Reserve is limited to Lot owners and those guests they will accompany through the reserve.

Water is provided from a Spring in the farm, that is contained in a concrete enclosure to prevent contamination. The spring water is pumped to the highest part of the farm, and stored in a 15,000 gallon tank, from which it is distributed to the lots scattered throughout the Nature Reserve.

This property was a subsistence family farm until about 25 years ago. It has since been allowed to go back to nature, and is now heavily forested. Much of the areas native wildlife has returned, including two species of monkeys, and literally hundreds of species of birds.

The farm is bordered on the north by a creek. It is 1.4 km south of a small farming community known as Punta de Mira, or "Point of Looking", known locally for its phenomenal views of the surrounding countryside, including mountains and rivers. Numerous small villages on the other side of the vast valley provide interesting views on the side of the mountains that the property faces. Fresh breezes keep the area cool. One can see the tallest peaks in Costa Rica, which include Cierra de la Muerte, Chirripo, and Los Torros.

The property is conveniently located about a 15 minute drive from Dominical, a small surfing community on the beach in the South Pacific Zone of Costa Rica. About 40 minutes away is the bustling town of San Isidro de General, one of the fastest growing cities in Central America. This center of commerce has numerous banks, doctors, dentists, hardware and lumber stores, large grocery stores, a hospital, and a large farmer's market. It is a governmental center for the area, and virtually all needs can be met there.
