FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Dec 24, 2008 – Winning £500 in a national competition run by home study specialist Train 4 Trade Skills has taken young dad Kenneth Coleman a few steps further down the aisle to marry the mother of his two young children. He plans to put at least part of his winnings into the wedding fund, though adding to his plumbing tool kit is also a temptation.

The 22 year old plumbing student, who combines studying with a job a as a parts / service advisor in the motor industry, was shocked to receive a phone call Train 4 Trade Skills, to say he’d won £500 in a national competition to find the student whose life has most improved this Christmas.

Kenneth said, “I have two young children, aged 3 and aged 10 months. Both my partner and I work full time jobs so as you can imagine time to train is scarce. I started to study between shifts so that I could eventually provide a better lifestyle for the family.

After badgering just about every plumber in the district for a chance to practice what I was learning, I have been lucky enough to get part time work which I start immediately after my shift”.

A spokesperson for Train 4 Trade Skills said “This was a very well deserved win by Kenneth who demonstrated out of the thousands of entries we received that he was determined to improve his life through sheer determination and hard work. Our sincere congratulations go to Kenneth and his family and we wish him continued success with his plans to become a plumber”.

End.

Mr. Kenneth Coleman’s entry to the Train 4 Trade Skills Christmas 2009 competition read as follows: -

“I am 22 years old and am currently employed in the motor industry as a parts/service advisor, I have two young children, aged 3 and aged 10 months. Both my partner and I work full time jobs so as you can imagine time to train is scarce.

However I have managed to alter my hours in work, I know work a shift pattern of 6-2 and 2-10, and after much phoning around and hounding pretty much every plumber in my area I have been lucky enough to find myself a placement with a plumber where I can gain a practical insight to the job.

On my week of 6-2 I finish work at two and proceed straight to work as a plumber (I work for free of course) but every time I go to work as a plumber it gives me a better incentive to fulfil my dream and start my own plumbing business. I find training with Train 4 Trade Skills an enjoyable experience, every time I have a question or a part of the course I do not understand they have always been on hand with any query I may have, what I really like is that the answers are not just given to you, they give you the information you need to work the problem out for yourself, this not only gives me a sense of achievement but also I always understand the topic that bit more when I have worked a problem out for myself.

I sometimes feel I don't always get enough time to put into the theory work, but the tutors or always on hand to extinguish any doubts I may have and motivate me towards my end goal. This Christmas I know that if I keep on working hard, every unit I complete brings me one step closer to becoming a plumber and providing a better lifestyle for my family, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at train 4 trade skills for their continued support throughout the year. Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year to all the team!

END.
